What’s on My Bench? Bach Mt. Vernon Alto Trombone

Here’s a cool little horn I finished up today - a Bach Mt. Vernon Model 6 alto trombone!

This alto trombone was a conversion done on a regular Model 6, and the tech did quite a nice job on it. Note the unusual tuning mechanism!

This horn plays well, and is quite attractive, having retained most of its original gold plate. The boss almost kept this one for his own collection, but decided to sell instead. It even comes with its original Mt. Vernon case!
